Integrated Somatic Release Therapy
ISRT is the treatment model that operationalizes the Four Pillars Trauma Recovery Framework™ — a whole-person, trauma-informed approach integrating DBT, IFS, somatic interventions, breathwork, intentional movement, and lifestyle medicine to promote lasting trauma recovery.
The founding premise
It reaches the brain, nervous system, body, emotions, relationships, and daily functioning. While traditional psychotherapy often focuses on thoughts and memories, ISRT recognizes that unresolved trauma is also stored within the nervous system and the body. Healing therefore requires both psychological treatment and physiological regulation.
Provides stabilization and behavioral change — safety, emotional regulation, behavioral stability, and practical coping skills.
Facilitates internal healing, Self-leadership, and transformation of protective survival patterns.
Integrates psychological healing into the nervous system through breathwork, body awareness, grounding, and movement.
These evidence-based approaches work together through the Four Pillars to create a comprehensive pathway toward recovery.
The integrated healing process
The Four Pillars provide the roadmap for healing. ISRT provides the clinical methods that guide clients through each stage of recovery.
Lifestyle medicine and personal accountability create sustainable habits that support long-term physical, emotional, and psychological wellness.
Rather than simply reducing symptoms, ISRT seeks to restore regulation, resilience, connection, and wholeness — helping individuals move beyond survival toward a life of purpose, health, and authentic Self-leadership.
Clients develop the capacity to regulate themselves emotionally, physiologically, and behaviorally across life's challenges.
